GOULD, KE'PTIN Joseph Andrew - 51, Afton, passed away Friday, June 18, 2004, as the result of a motor vehicle accident.
Born in Whycocomagh, he was a son of the late Andrew and Mary Agnes (Phillips) Gould.
Joe was a fisherman and KE'PTIN Mik'maq Grand Council. Joe was a bingo caller for Heatherton Parish Bingo, and an entertainer, Mik'maq dancer and historian. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish, Heatherton.
He is survived by his wife, the former Jackie Sark; daughters, Tanya Gould, Afton; Miranda Gould, Waycobah; stepdaughters, Lisa Ronaghan and Pamela Ronaghan, both of Montague, P.E.I.; son, Trevor, Afton; foster son, Mitchell Paul, Indian Brook; sister, Mary Joan (Karl) Lafford, Eskasoni; brothers, Peter, Waycobah; Roddie (Shirley), Eskasoni; Richard, Waycobah; grandson, Earl David Joseph Gould; granddaughter, Tikisha Gould; stepgranddaughter, Laura Lee Lake Collings; Godchildren, Annie Elizabeth Gould, Bobbie Gould, Katrina Sark, Jessica Morell, John Frank Marshall, Charity Elizabeth Lafford. He was predeceased by brothers, John, Bernie, and Wilfred; son, Blair Joseph; sisters, Barbara Jean and Annie Elizabeth; Godson, B.J. Gould.
Visitation will be held in the family residence, 21 Dillon St., Afton, transferred Tuesday to Waycobah with visitation after 2 p.m. at 196 Subdivision Rd., Waycobah.
Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Father Bernie MacDonald officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Whycocomagh.
