GEORGE (Taylor), Betty - 101, Cooks Cove, Guysborough Co., passed away Monday, July 19, 2004, in Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough. Born in Cooks Cove, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mohalia (Atkins) Taylor. She was a retired school teacher, teaching for 35 years in Guysborough County. She was a member of Wesley United Church, Guysborough. Surviving are sons, Neil, Guysborough; Gary (Sandra), Courtenay, B.C.; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry; sisters, Mabel, Mamie, Esther and Florence; brother, William. Visitation will be held from 2-9 p.m. today in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Wesley United Church, Rev. Wilfred Pelley officiating, assisted by Rev. David Wheeler. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
