GOOGOO, Mary Helen "Molly" - 58, We'koqma'q First Nation, died Wednesday, March 7, 2007, in Victoria County Memorial Hospital, Baddeck. Born in Sydney, she was a daughter of Mary N. Googoo Bernard of We'koqma'q and the late Andrew Bernard. Molly was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, We'koqma'q. Surviving are daughters, Doris and Amanda, both of We'koqma'q; son, Chief Morley (Diane), We'koqma'q; mother-in-law, Victoria Jull, Brantford, Ont.; sisters, Elizabeth Toney, We'koqma'q; Sally Cope, Annabelle Nicholas, both of Millbrook; Harriet Nicholas and Alice Bernard, Josephine Googoo, all of We'koqma'q; brothers, Noel Mike, Wagmatcook; Harvey (Brenda), Alex, Jeff, all of We'koqma'q; grandchildren, Dustin, Tia, Brandon, Ty, Wade, Holly, Shania, Michelle, Logan and Rachael; 13 godchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, former Chief Wayne Googoo; sister, Bernice; brother, Matthew.
Visitation will be after 7 p.m. today in the family residence, 23 Tower Lane, We'koqma'q. Funeral mass will be held 2 p.m. Monday in Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Father Bernie MacDonald officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
