Greencorn, Mary Lucinda … 76, Half Way Cove, Guysborough, died Friday, June 22, 2007 in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Half Island Cove, Guysborough Co., she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Emily (Hendsbee) Hendsbee. Mary worked at Nickerson Fish Plant, Canso and Lobster Factory, Lismore. She is survived by daughters Muriel (Earl) Greencorn, Half Way Cove; Wilma Dort, Roachvale; Betty Lyons, Roachvale; sons Clarence, Ont.; Daniel (Jeannette), Half Way Cove; sisters Hattie (John) MacDonald, Sydney; Flossie (Pat) Rhynold, Whitehead; Helen (Hector) Cameron, Sunnybrae; Brother Silas (Jeannette), Ont.; grandchildren Michelle, Lucas, Wilma, Steven, Michael, Andrew, Earl, Lucy, Kimberly, Wayne, Robert, Jeffery and Dylan; Numerous great grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband Covert, grandson Horace, sisters Effie, Rita, Mildred, Hilda, Shirley and infant sister Muriel, brothers Horace and Winston. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Sunday and 2-4 and 7-9p.m. Monday in Half Island Cove United Baptist Church, where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2p.m. with Rev. Helen Christie officiating. Burial in Bayview Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at: www.haverstocks.com.
