GERRIOR, Elsie Marie – 90, of Northwood Manor, Halifax and formerly a long time resident of Guysborough passed away Monday, August 8, 2011, in Northwood Manor. Born in Riverside, Guysborough Co. on August 14, 1920, she was a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Wood) Imlay. Elsie will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. Surviving are her son, Richard (Donna), Truro; daughters, Suzanne Gerrior (Martin Gingras), Montreal; Karenanne Gerrior, Halifax; sisters, Kathleen Johnstone, Vera (Lewis) Johnstone, both of New Glasgow; Ethel Knowles, Moncton; grandchildren, Darren Gerrior, Michelle (Jamie) Coulter, Crystal (Dave) Archibald, all of Truro; Tanya (Greg) Allen, Hammonds Plains; Tammie (Charles) Mamye, Moncton and Shelby Gingras, Montreal; great-grandchildren, Courtney and Matthew Coulter, Katie and Jacob Archibald, Simon and Ellie Allen, Jena and Dryden Mamye. Elsie was predeceased by her husband, Floyd Gerrior, sister, Dorothy Kent, brothers, Robert, Douglas, and Ralph Imlay. There will be no visitation by request. A graveside memorial service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Guysborough on Friday, August 12 at 1p.m. with Nan Corrigan D.M. officiating. Family flowers only please.
