Googoo Sr.; her son, Shane Robert Googoo; brothers, Roddie Pierro, Freeman Pierro Sr.; sisters, Louise Pierro, Helen Googoo; godson, Paul Googoo. She was also predeceased by four granddaughters and one great-granddaughter. She is survived by daughter, Renita (Martin); sons, Ryan Jr. (Charlene), Eric (Hilda), Roger (Rita), Richard (Bernice), Carl Jerome Googoo, all of Waycobah. She is also survived by brother, Francis R. Pierro Sr. and sister, Kathleen Pierro, both of Wagmatcook; godchildren, Leonard Cremo, Tara Pierro, Allister Bernard, Wayne J. Paul and Pamela Toney. She was a grandmother to twenty-two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, whom she cherished and loved with all her heart. There were many others whom she took in as her own and raised as her own, Matilda, Junior and Joe Mike. Mary Victoria was known by many as Grammy by her grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other children. Her great-grandchildren and others called her "Plum". Everyone loved her so much that they had a special name to call her by. Her heartbeat for the love of everyone around her, especially all the children in her life from grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and all children. She would say she loved to hear the children running around playing and enjoying life. She had a gift of "Love" for everyone who knew her. She touched so many hearts and will forever be remembered in all our memories. GRAMMY was devoted to her family, friends and her Catholic faith. She travelled to St. Anne de Beaupre for many years and her strength in her religion was evident in her many prayers she said for so many. She was a dedicated bingo player who travelled near and far for the love of the game. She spent many of her years at the rinks and ball fields cheering on her sons and later her grandchildren. Her late husband coached and she was the number one fan. She even made a few baskets in her time and operated her own small business of the ice cream shop known as the "Skye River Barn". Her true love of blueberry raking and camping in Maine was the highlight of her summer and in her early years, potato picking in Northern Maine. She called them vacation times even with all the hard work involved and she loved every minute of it. She raked blueberries up until her 60’s. In recent years she joined her family during the Moose Harvest in the Cape Breton Highlands. She even camped with Wagmatcook Moose Camp where she took part enjoying the time with family and friends. Her kind hearted spirit was also evident in the elders group in her community and many other gatherings in the community. No one ever left her home hungry and without hearing the words "I love you" with a great big hug to go with it. She welcomed everyone into her home the same way she welcomed them into her heart. Special thanks to the many special people who surrounded her with the care and love she deserved. Dr. Chow, Dr. Ritter, her special nurses who provided the comfort and love from their daily visits.
