FELIX (Morgan) Anne Marie- Age 73. Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Nurse. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anne Marie Felix (Morgan) RN, on Friday, January 27, 2017, in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. The only daughter of 7 children born to the late John James Sr. and Vida (Proctor) Morgan. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Dennis Felix; her sons, Leslie (Anne Marie) MacLean, Shawn (Hellen) Felix; her daughters, Siobhain (Joseph) Molloy, Sheeleen (Raymond) Violette; her cherished granddaughters, Laleah and Leigha Molloy, Rhiannon Violette, Sarah and Taylor MacLean; her cherished grandsons, Matthew and Jesse MacLean; brothers, John James Jr. (Shirley), Terry (Colleen), Austin (Eileen), Lester, Brian (Leanne), Carroll (Marlene) Morgan; many beloved nieces and nephews, as well as all those who spent time over the years under her care at her home. She graduated in 1964 from St. Rita’s School of Nursing in Sydney. She had a long distinguished 52 year career. From 1964-72 she worked at the Halifax Infirmary. After moving back to Cape Breton in 1972, she worked at the Gulf Oil Refinery Infirmary in Point Tupper from 1972-80. Her last 35 years of service were spent at the Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston from 1980-2016. She loved nursing and was most happy when caring for her patients. She will be remembered by all for her unending dedication as a nurse. She was and will continue to be loved and cherished by many and will be forever missed. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday and Monday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday from St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church, Lower River Inhabitants with Father Conrad Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Whiteside. Memorial donations may be made to Whiteside Church Preservation Society (St. Patrick’s), Kidney Foundation of NS or a charity of one’s choice.
