Mosher, William Benjamin "Ben" - Age 71 of Little Dover, Guys. Co. Passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at home in Little Dover. Ben was a proud fisherman his entire life and started fishing at the young age of 14 alongside his father. He tried his hand at all types of fishing over his career ranging from long liners to ground fishing to lobster fishing. He loved the sea and always worked hard throughout his life to provide for his family making many lasting friendships along the way. Ben was a man with many passions in life. Anyone who knew him knew he loved playing cards and attending card plays whenever he could. He will truly be missed by his friends and card partners, Aub, Doug and Vicki. He was also a skilled dart player and could often be found playing in leagues and tournaments with his wife Mary. With these combined interests and his love for hunting with his friend Lowell, he will be truly missed by many in the multiple communities and societies he frequented. He loved to sing and had a love for playing guitar with his loving pet Ty by his side, singing through his songbook from cover to cover. Ben is survived by his loving wife, Mary (Mason), children, Terry, Roseanne (Les), Travis (Susanne) and Aaron (Pamela); his grandchildren, Haley, Kennedy, Jaylin, Kendra, Amber, Tanner, Grant, Ewan, Noah, and Audrey; great-grandchildren, Nova and Brentley. Step-children, Margie, Jeannie (Jeremy), and Raymond (Amanda); step-grandchildren: Olivia, Oliver, Dawson and Isabella; siblings, Wes (Genesta), Alvin (Lisa), Ronnie, Tina (Joe), Ida (Terry), Ada, and Rosina. Ben was predeceased by his father, Bill, mother, Nellie (Mason), his brothers, Billy, Dougie and Ivan; sisters, Sylvia, Sheila and Margaret. Ben's family would like to express our deepest gratitude to EHS, Little Dover Fire Department, RCMP, and the many friends and families for providing help and support at this difficult time. Visitation will be held Monday, May 7, from 2-9 p.m. in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral mass will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 8 in St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Little Dover with Father Jonathan Nnajiofor officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. And when it comes to my last cast, I then most humbly pray When in the lord's safe landing net I'm peacefully asleep That in his mercy I be judged as "Big enough to keep" Visitation Information Visitation Monday, May 7, 2018 Visitation Time 2-9 p.m. Visitation Location Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso Service Information Service Date Tuesday, May 8, 2018 Service Time 11 a.m. Service Location St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Little Dover Burial Information Burial Date At a later date
