O’NEIL, Marlene – Age 78, of New Glasgow and formerly of Mulgrave passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018, with her family by her side in the Palliative Care Unit in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Marlene was a daughter of the late Francis and Anela (MacKinnon) O’Neil. She is remembered as a wonderful daughter and a loving sister. Marlene is survived by her sisters, Joanne (John Strachan); Mary (Ken Reid); as well as brothers, Errol (Audrey); Gerard (Mary Jane); David (Laurella); sisters-in-law, Judy, Vivian and Laurine; as well as many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Mannie, John and Carroll. Marlene has donated her body to Dalhousie University for the advancement of Medical Science. Memorial service will take place on Friday, May 18 at 2 p.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, 112 North Foord St, New Glasgow with Father Barrett Clare-Johnson officiating. Donations in Marlene’s memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
