Myette, Donald Jerome – Age 61, of Port Hawkesbury, passed peacefully surrounded by his family at QE11 in Halifax. Jerome is survived by his wife; Cheryl (Tobey) and children; Trevor Murray, Mulgrave, Jocelyn and Jeremy Myette, Port Hawkesbury. Jerome was a son of Margaret (DeCoffe) and the late Anthony Myette and son-in-law of the late Vivian and Leslie Tobey. He will be dearly missed by his brother Ronnie (Lisa) Myette, Sabeth, Rhea and Tabitha, Frankville and brother, Jason Myette, Port Hawkesbury along with all his friends, family and his little dog, Lucy.
Jerome was a devoted member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Jerome’s love for hockey and baseball was reflected in his commitment to his family life and the Toronto Maple Leafs. Visitation will be held 2-4p.m and 7-9p.m, Thursday, December 30 in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, 724 Granville St., Port Hawkesbury. A private family funeral mass will be held. Internment will be at a later date in St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Tracadie, NS. Please note that face masks and proof of double vaccination are required to attend the visitation and due to Covid 19 protocols a maximum of 50 people are permitted to attend the visitation.
Donations may be made to St. Joseph Parish, Port Hawkesbury or The Heart and Stroke Foundation. Arrangements are under the care of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.haverstocks.com
