HADLEY, Charles Joseph – 98, Middle Melford, Guysborough Co. passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2012, in the Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough. Born in New Waterford, he was a son of the late Lewis and Catherine (Jamieson) Hadley. He was a member of St. James Anglican Church, Middle Melford. Charles was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed his vegetable gardens, hunting and being a hunter’s guide. He was a simple man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He enjoyed working with a shovel or axe in his hand. Charles is survived by his daughters, Hilda (Tim) Dort, Dort’s Cove; Dorothy (George) Cresine, Boylston; grandchildren, Jessica, Brandon, Amy and Cheryl; great-grandchildren, Brooke, Angel Rose, Chase, Emma and Declan. He was predeceased by his wife, Bessie; brother, Douglas; siters, Dorothy, Hilda and Lillian. Visitation will be Saturday, March 24, from 1:45 to 2:45p.m. with funeral service to follow at 3 p.m. all from St. James Anglican Church, Middle Melford, with Rev. Evelyn Knorr officiating. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. James Cemetery Fund, Middle Melford.
