IZZARD, Harvey Elmer – 86, Boylston, Guysborough Co. occurred on Sunday April 22, 2012, in the Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Glenkeen (Boylston), he was the son of the late Burton and Mamie (Pelley) Izzard. Harvey was a retired woodsman and an avid horseman. We will sorely miss his stories of days of old and his horse stories. He was predeceased by his wife Marie; son, Leroy; granddaughter, Sherry Ann; grandson, Sterling; brother, Leslie; sisters, Rita, Sophia, Ester and Viola. Surviving are sons, Paul, Danny, Blair, all of Toronto; Terry, Monastery; Burt (Karen), Halifax; David, Boylston; daughters, Jackie, Angela (Alex), Brenda (Charles), all of Toronto; Sharon, Montreal; brother, Ralph, Boylston; sisters, Vera, Halifax; Evelyn, Toronto; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. A gathering of family and friends will be held at 3pm Sunday July 29, 2012, followed by a memorial service at 4pm both in the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough, with Rev. Darroch Fagan officiating. Memorial donations to a charity of one’s choice.
