RICHARDSON, Blanche Annie -95, Main St. Canso, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 18, 2014, at home. Born in Charlos Cove, Guysborough Co., she was a daughter of the late George and Mary (Carter) Casey and wife of the late Harold Richardson.
She was a homemaker, mother and a fisher woman. She loved her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her great great-grandchildren and her cards.
She is survived by sons, George (Rita), Francis and James, all of Canso; daughters, Pauline Rose, Lorraine Lumsden and Margaret Gurney, all of Canso; brothers, Freeman Casey, Canning; Arthur (Joyce) Casey, Halifax; friend and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Casey; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. Blanche was predeceased by her daughter, Elizabeth; brothers, Lawson, Hughie and Lawrence; sisters, Bell O’Leary, Mary Robicheau and Ellen Mosher; as well as 5 siblings in infancy.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday from All Saints Anglican Church, Canso with Rev. Darroch Fagan officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.haverstocks.com
