MacDonald, Mary Linda 69, of St.Peter's died Saturday, December 27, 2014, in the Straight Richmond Hospital, Evanston, Cape Breton. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Abe and Ethel (Samson) Landry. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Gordon MacDonald; son, Aaron MacDonald – grandchildren, Carson, Isla, and Fergus , Prince Albert, Sask;. Daughter, Angela and husband Cihan Reis - granddaughter Peri, Halifax; brothers, George and wife Gail Landry – niece, Gina, Sampsonville; John and wife Tracey Landry – nieces, Emma and Kayla of Halifax; sister, Susanne and husband Brian Letawsky, Alberta; brother-in-law, Teddy and wife Iris Landry- niece, Shelor; sister-in-law, Vera Dawson- nephews, Robert, Carl and Ricky. She worked for the Straight Regional School Board for 32 years and tutored anyone who asked for help, and loved every minute of it. She was a HAM radio operator call sign VE1 LYN. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. Mass and interment by the family at a later date. In her memory do something to help a child in need.
