Born in Canso, Guysborough Co. she was a daughter of the late James and Viola (Bouchie) Harnish. Verna was a member of St. Agnes Parish, Little Dover. Surviving are her sons, Jerome (Michelle) , Pickering, Ont; Jodi, Dartmouth; Shane (Susan), Mt. Uniacke; sisters, Genesta, Little Dover; Diana, Mt. Uniacke; Margaret, Canso; grandchildren Ashley, Christopher, Jordan, Cole and Evan; great-grandchildren; Zachary, Mackenzie and Aiden. Verna was predeceased by her Husband, Seward. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Friday, in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral Mass will be 11a.m Saturday, from St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Little Dover with Father Dan MacDonald officiating. Burial in St. Agnes Parish cemetery. Family flowers only please.
