Please share a memory of Lillian to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
MacDonald, Lillian Grace (Malcolm). It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Lillian on Thursday, October 22, 2015 in St. Anne’s Nursing Home, Arichat, Nova Scotia at the age of 88. She was predeceased by the love of her life Donald "Danny", her parents, Hiram Pearl and Marie Alvina (Meunier) Malcolm; sister, Shirley MacIsaac; and her two infants, Joseph and Mary Ann.
Lillian lived her life with kindness and generosity and there was nothing more important to her than her family. She raised 6 children and took many more under her wing. She derived great joy from her many grandchildren, nieces and nephews and their children.
Left to cherish her memory and continue her kindness, Lillian is survived by her children, Garry (Sandy), Penticton, BC; Glen (Carolyn), Frelighsburg, QC; Joanne (John), Kingston, ON; Donald (Annabel), Waterdown, ON; Paul, Milton, ON; John (Lynn), Halifax; and siblings, Bonnie (Angus) Kinney, Sydney; Pearl Malcolm, Port Hawkesbury; Ida (Bernie) Bennett, Gananoque, ON; Leonard (Donna) Malcolm, Lower River; Pat (Rodger) Fancey, Lower River; and grandchildren, Ian, Laura, Mary, Marc, Claire, Sara, Dani, Fraser, Emma, Natalie, Charlotte and Zoe; great-grandchildren, Quinn, Kallee, Jack and Nash; and many wonderful nieces and nephews who enriched her life greatly.
Special thanks to all the staff at St. Anne’s Nursing home who cherished Lillian and provided her with the best care possible in her final months. In keeping with her wishes, Lillian has been cremated.
