Doyle, Edward Clyde - 67, Little Dover, Guysborough County, passed away, Thursday, February 18, 2010 in Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso. Born in Mira Gut, Cape Breton Island, May 27, 1942, Edward was a son of Ruth (Casey) Doyle, Little Dover and the late Francis Doyle. He was a loving father, and beloved and devoted husband. Edward was a retired fisherman and taxidermist. He also served six and one–half years in the Canadian Armed Forces, stationed in Gagetown, NB. He served with the Black Watch in Canada, Continental Europe and Cyprus. Edward is survived by his loving wife, Verna (Bouchie), Little Dover, daughter, Eden (fiancé Jamie Bouchie), Antigonish; sons, Patrick (Wanda) and Mark (Lori-Ann) both of Little Dover; William (Shauna) Antigonish and Jamie (Amanda), Canso; sisters, Lorraine (Joseph) Gustowski, Massachusetts; Theresa (Phillip) Turnbull, Halifax and Karen (Ralph) Landry, Lower Sackville; brother, Gerry (Dawn) Doyle, Lower Sackville; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his sister, Edna. There will be no visitation by his request. Funeral mass will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2010 in St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Little Dover, with Fr. Andrew Gillies officiating. Burial in the Parish Cemetery.
