Born in Boylston, Guysborough Co., January 30, 1930, he was a son of the late William George and Sarah Jane (Ash) Desmond. Before retiring in 1994, just in time for the infamous OJ Simpson trial, Wilf was a delivery truck driver for Ultramar Fuels and a bus driver for the Marshall McLaughlin to the vocational school Port Hawkesbury. After retiring, Wilf drove for RMAC Limousines and was the personal driver to Dr. Price. Wilf was extremely charismatic, well known, respected and liked by all.
