Desmond, Wilfred "Wilf" Jerimiah, Age 88 years of Lincolnville, Guysborough Co. Passed away peacefully on, Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Boylston, Guysborough Co., January 30, 1930, he was a son of the late William George and Sarah Jane (Ash) Desmond. Before retiring in 1994, just in time for the infamous OJ Simpson trial, Wilf was a delivery truck driver for Ultramar Fuels and a bus driver for the Marshall McLaughlin to the vocational school Port Hawkesbury. After retiring, Wilf drove for RMAC Limousines and was the personal driver to Dr. Price.
Wilf was extremely charismatic, well known, respected and liked by all. He will be remembered for his outgoing personality, his infectious smile, amazing sense of humour, charming demeanor, constant flirting and teasing the ladies. He was an avid bingo goer, a remarkable guitar player, with a love for Wrestling and talk shows, namely, Jerry Springer and Murray Povich.
Wilfred was an exceptional man with deep rooted family values and ties. There wasn’t anything he would not do for his family or even strangers. Opening his home to anyone who needed a place to stay. If you were hungry, you had a meal. If you required a drive, he made sure you arrived at your destination. He gave so much of himself and asked for nothing in return.
