NOCK, Beverly "Shirley"- Age 76, Whycocomagh. We regret to announce the death of our loving wife, mother and grandmother Beverly "Shirley" Nock in the Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital on Saturday, December 2, 2017, after a battle with cancer.
Shirley leaves behind her husband of 55 years, Billy, and sons, Bobby and Blair (Debbie), along with grandchildren Bridget, Maggie, Angus and Archie. She was predeceased by her mother, Tena MacMillan and father Robbie.
Shirley was born on March 6, 1941 and grew up in Whycocomagh. She married the love of her life Billy on June 23, 1962. Besides raising Bobby and Blair, she acted as a second mom and cookie baker to other boys who regularly came to play street hockey in the driveway.
Shirley was a proud member of St.Andrew's Presbyterian Church and Ladies Aid in Whycocomagh and was involved in many ways in her community.
Her family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses involved with her care over the last two years as well as the many family members and friends who offered good wishes and support.
