So sorry to hear of your Mom's death, Ian. I loved your mother although I did not have the opportunity to know her better. She impressed me always the few times we talked, so pleasant and so eager to know what you had been doing and how everything was going. She was so youthful in her outlook and manner. I think she made everyone comfortable in her presence and brought joy and optimism to her encounters with people. I know she will be missed. Your Mom and Dad were wonderful people, Ian! My sincere sympathy, Shirley HarteryFPRTS8

I was a CCA at Lewis Hall. Myrtle was by far my favorite resident. I will always treasure our talks and her words of wisdom. Before she left Lewis Hall she gave me a small Angel...it will be on my Xmas tree every year. I will miss her dearly. My thoughts are with her family.. we have lost a one of a kind true Angel.

Dear Greencorn Family; It was with great sadness that we heard your Mum, grandmother and great grandmother passed away. Myrtle was like a second Mum to me (Roger) growing up. Many fond memories of eating her peanut butter cookies (best ever) or her fresh homemade bread in her welcoming kitchen. She provided wisdom and guidance to us youngsters in a way that we didn't even realize we were learning. Our visits, cards and emails with Myrtle over the years May have been intermittent but we never lost touch and it was always a pleasure to see her again and get caught up. I was looking forward to such a trip in March which didn't happen and now sadly won't. We will all miss her and I know you will miss her most of all. Please accept our sincerest condolences. Roger and Nicole

Dear Gwen, Ian , Glen and families: It is difficult to put words to the sadness I feel for each of you at this time. As Myrtle's sister I too am very saddened by her passing. I hope in time we will all be able to heal and go on as I know she would have wanted. Being the oldest of 7 children she had surpassed my parents and 5 other siblings in age so she certainly had longevity on her side. Again, my deepest sympathy and let us all heal together. Love to all, Auntie Marlene xoxo

Deepest sympathies to the family. Myrtle was always such a sweet lady. The last time I saw her was about 2 years ago at Parkland at the lakes when I took care of her as a VON nurse. She knew me and asked about all the family, in typical Myrtle fashion. I'm saddened that she has passed. She will be missed.
