I am very sorry to hear of Dale's passing. I had the opportunity to work with Dale both at Secunda and Horizon. I worked in the office. Dale clearly brought a high standard to whatever vessel he was in charge of and pushed us all to meet that standard. I have the upmost respect for his leadership and brilliance as a Chief Engineer. My prayers and thoughts are with all of the family and I am so saddened by this loss. Dale was a very special person to me both professionally and personally. He was a great mentor that guided me and enabled me to attain so much in my career. But through his wisdom and advice, he also showed me how to be a great husband and father which I will never forget. Dear Caroline, Meghanne, Kaelyn and Rebecca and the extended Hicks family, Please accept our deepest condolences at this time . We have wonderful memories of sailing in the lakes with Dale. He was always there to help out and we enjoyed his company , his stories and we always knew it would be a great day if Dale was going to be around.He taught us how to ejoy life and be a good friend.
