Cremo, Mary Elizabeth - 70, Waycobah First Nation, Inverness Co., passed away Saturday, March 27, 2010 in Alderwood Rest Home, Baddeck. Born in Nyanza, Victoria Co., she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Louise (Herney) Isadore. Mary worked as an adult care worker, baby sitter and net repair for the men fishing. She was a member of Blessed Katerie Parish, Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Waycobah. Mary was a wonderful mother, grandmother and aunt. She was always seen with a smile on her face and a friendly hi to everyone. Mary’s hobbies were double up, cards, bingo, bead work, basket weaving and visiting friends. She is survived by daughters, Mary Faye Cremo (Peter), Wagmatcook; Sadie Sylliboy (John); Beatrice Cremo, both of Waycobah; sons, Peter and Tommy, both of Waycobah; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Janet Isadore, Wagmatcook; many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by husband Peter; daughter Brenda Janet Louise; sisters Christine “Christie” Stevens, Annie Cecilia Isadore, Isabel Isadore; brothers Isadore Isadore, Francis Isadore, Levi Isadore. Visitation will be held at the family home, 8647 Trans Canada Hwy. 105, Waycobah after 1 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, from Blessed Katerie Parish, Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Waycobah, with Father Robert McNeil officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
