Clyke, John Angus – 64, Sunnyville, Guysborough Co., died Friday, September 16, 2011 in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Guysborough, he was a son of Laura Mae (Pelley), Sunnyville and the late Phillip David Clyke. John was a fish plant and forestry worker. He was a former member of Grace Baptist Church, Sunnyville. John is survived by his ex-wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Clyke; sons, Darren Clyke and John Clyke, both of Sydney; Allan Lucas, Guysborough; daughters, Julie Clyke (Majib Tariq), Toronto, ON; Lisa O’Hara, Havre Boucher; sisters, Mildred (John) Roache, Halifax; MaryAnn Skinner, Sunnyville; Gloria (Ronald) Ash, Kingston, NS; adopted sister, Clarabelle (Gladstone) Williams, Toronto, ON; brothers, Berton and Wade (Wilma), both of Monastery; David and Lloyd, both of Sunnyville; 9 grandchildren; 2 great- grandchildren; special friend, Marlene Malcolm. John was predeceased by brothers, Reid and Lindsay; a sister and brother in infancy. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19 in Grace Baptist Church, from where the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. Kevin Hendsbee officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Guysborough. Memorial donations may be made to Grace Baptist Church or the Canadian Cancer Society.
