Clyke, John Angus – 64, Sunnyville, Guysborough Co., died Friday, September 16, 2011 in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Guysborough, he was a son of Laura Mae (Pelley), Sunnyville and the late Phillip David Clyke. John was a fish plant and forestry worker. He was a former member of Grace Baptist Church, Sunnyville. John is survived by his ex-wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Clyke; sons, Darren Clyke and John Clyke, both of Sydney; Allan Lucas, Guysborough; daughters, Julie Clyke (Majib Tariq), Toronto, ON; Lisa O’Hara, Havre Boucher; sisters, Mildred (John) Roache, Halifax; MaryAnn Skinner, Sunnyville; Gloria (Ronald) Ash, Kingston, NS; adopted sister, Clarabelle (Gladstone) Williams, Toronto, ON; brothers, Berton and Wade (Wilma), both of Monastery; David and Lloyd, both of Sunnyville; 9 grandchildren; 2 great- grandchildren; special friend, Marlene Malcolm. John was predeceased by brothers, Reid and Lindsay; a sister and brother in infancy. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19 in Grace Baptist Church, from where the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. Kevin Hendsbee officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Guysborough. Memorial donations may be made to Grace Baptist Church or the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough.
