Clyke, Victor Albert – 66, Sunnyville, Guys Co. Passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2013, in the QE11 Health Sciences Centre, Infirmary Site, Halifax.
Born in Sunnyville, March 26, 1947 he was a son of the late William and Clara (Mintus) Clyke. He worked with the Department of Highways; he loved playing cards and bingo and he loved to dance. His daughter and grandsons were his pride and joy. Victor enjoyed living with his sister, Martha "Janie" and brother-in-law Clyde. He will be well missed by his friend, Alice Lucas and sister-in-law, Donna Clyke.
Victor leaves to mourn his daughter, Cynthia Lucas, Toronto; sister, Martha ``Janie`` (Clyde) Mansfield, Sunnyville; brother, Harry Clyke, Sunnyville; grandchildren, Joshua and Julian and a large number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Victor was predeceased by brothers, William, Kenneth, Charlie, Frederick and Clair; sisters, Adline, Vivian, Gussie, Clarabell and Mary.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 7-9 p.m.; with the funeral service being held 2 p.m. Tuesday both in Sunnyville United Baptist Church, Rev. David Wheeler assisted by Deacon Clara Jordan officiating. Family flowers only please. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Guysborough.
