Conrad, David Douglas - age 66, of Port Hawkesbury. Passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. David was born in Antigonish; a son of the late Douglas and Frances "Fanny" (George) Conrad. David worked as a heavy equipment operator. He is survived by his companion, Anne Marie MacPherson, his children, Kelly (Dave) and Vicki (Stephen), both of Port Hawkesbury; Crystal, Dartmouth; Courtney (David), New Glasgow; Deborah Cameron (Lloydie), Alberta; Caroline Griffin (Wilfred), New Brunswick; son, Devon (Lindsay), Halifax; sisters, Betty Malcolm, New Brunswick; Frances (Donnie) Campbell, North Sydney; brother, Bazil (Beverly), Port Hawkesbury. Also leaving to mourn are his grandchildren, Dakota, Justin, Hayden, Rayne, Mason, Maddox, Josie, Dawson, Brooke, and Stephen. He was predeceased by his grandson, Daniel Cameron. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury and from where the funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday with Nan Corrigan, DM officiating. A reception will follow the service at Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 43, Port Hawkesbury. Burial will take place at a later date in Southbrook Cemetery.
