Curtis, Muriel Isabel - Age 77 of St. George’s Channel, Richmond Co. It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend on Friday, April 29, 2016 in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston after a courageous battle with cancer. Muriel was born in Antigonish on February 16, 1939 to the late William "Bill" and Effie (Balsillie) Bayne. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, John "Buddy"; sons, Todd (Laurie Jarvis), Cold lake Alberta; Craig (Lori), St. George’s Channel; Nanny’s girls, Nicole, Charlotte, Grace, Hannah; brothers, Bill (Phyllis), Indiana; David, Sydney; nieces, Kelly, Tracy and Kim; nephew, Mike; aunt, Helen, Ontario; many cousins, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. There will be no visitation or service by Muriel’s request. Burial in MacKay Cemetery, St George’s Channel at a later date. Muriel would like to thank Dr. Collins, Dr. Pluta, Dr. Jensen, and Dr. Cooper, Nancy Cameron and the many nurses and homecare workers who have taken care of her these past few years.
