CONNOLLY, John Archibald- Age 88, Guysborough Intervale, passed away at home on Monday, October 10, 2016. Born in Guysborough Intervale, he was a son of the late Edward Michael and Christina Ann (Chisholm) Connolly. John owned his own trucking business for over 40 years. He enjoyed snowmobiling, horses, hunting and fishing. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Parish, Guysborough Intervale. Surviving are his loving wife, Bessie (Hall); children, Wayne Connolly, Fort McMurray, AB; Darlene (Allan) Myers, Guysborough Intervale; Kenneth "Kenny" (Shelley) Flavin, Calgary, AB; grandchildren, Corinne, Wayne, Melissa, Jeffrey, Kendra and Melanie; great-grandchildren, Weiss and Wynn Gillis; brothers, Kenneth (Margaret), Guysborough Intervale; Cyril (Grace), Truro. He was predeceased by brothers, Ronald, Eric and Leonard; sister, Irene. There will be no visitation. Funeral mass will be 2 p.m. Thursday from St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Guysborough Intervale with Father Gerald David and Father Danny MacLennan officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or to Guysborough Memorial Hospital.
