COHOON, Francis Vincent "Bud"- Age 80, passed away peacefully at home in Canso, on Friday, June 16, 2017. He was born on December 4, 1936 in Canso to the late Cecil and Rose Cohoon.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys, Canso; daughters, Gillian Cohoon, Halfway Cove; Keran Malcolm, Bedford; stepsons, Aubrey MacLeod (Donna), Cape Breton; Donald MacLeod, Halifax; seven grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild, all whom he loved dearly; siblings, Jack (Phyllis) Cohoon, Annapolis Co.; Patricia Stark, Ont; Rita Brackenridge, California; Marnie Smith, Halifax; Carmie Chevarie, Magdalen Islands, Que; Marg Geddes, Canso. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Eddy, Bob "Tiny", David, Jim, Doug; sisters, Lucina, Florence, Sadie and Mary.
Cremation has taken place. Burial service for family and friends will take place 11 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2017, in Star of the Sea Parish Cemetery, Canso. Memorial donations to a charity of choice. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.haverstocks.com
