CLUETT, Jacob William - Port Hawkesbury, passed away peacefully in the Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, following a brief illness. Born in Amherst on Sept. 24, 1946, he was the eldest child of Edith (MacLeod) Cluett and the late Arthur Cluett. Jake worked for Suncor Energy in Fort McMurray before moving home to Cape Breton and a simpler life. He held a B.Sc. Degree from Dalhousie University. He had a passion for discussing politics, religion, world events, sports and conspiracy theories. Jacob is survived by his mother, Edy; as well as brothers, Rick (Anne) and David (Nancy); sister, Cora (Paul Dignan); as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Art and twin brother, Bob. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. Family burial to take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of NS or The War Amps. Arrangements under the care of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
