I had the privilege of working closely with her when I drove the bus for her students to school, to work experience, and to special olympics, and I was always in awe of her kindness and warmth with the children. I enjoyed every visit with her at her home in Kempt Road and in Antigonish, and the conversations always included talk of family and the NDP. Aunt Betty will be greatly missed by many. My last visit with her was when Bethalee and her came for a visit in Port Hood and Jim played the guitar and she loved singing to it. Our deepest condolences to the Cooper family on the loss of your Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother. I have such great memories of Beth when she was a colleague of mine working at Walter Fougere School. She loved what she did and you could not tell the difference between her role as a teacher or a mother to her special students. Beth enjoyed a good time and she was always such a good sport with all the shenanigans the staff got up to at staff parties. We had many good laughs together. She loved her family and was so proud of all her children and grandchildren and couldn't wait to show us updated pictures of her family. It was a delight to watch the love and respect that Carl and Beth had for each other. That love was so evident everyday that Carl came to school to drop Beth of or pick her up, he would hug and kiss her. It was delightful to watch . They were the real deal and an example of true love and devotion to their children and all who knew them.
