HENDSBEE, Wilfred A. - 98, Mulgrave, formerly of Half Island Cove, our loving father and grandfather passed away in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish, Saturday, October 1, 2005. He is gone to Heaven to join his special granddaughter, Diane, who passed away suddenly less than two months ago, and who he loved dearly. He was the son of the late William and Annie (Richardson) Hendsbee (Half Island Cove). He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by daughters, Marlene, Mamie, Sadie (Leo); sons, Harold (Aggie), Herman, Tom (Edyth), 19 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 10 great great-grandchildren; many special nieces and nephews, especially Nick and Doug, to whom he told many a story. He was predeceased by his first wife, Maizie; an infant at birth; second wife, Violet; granddaughters, Diane and Joann; grandsons, Don and Tom; sons-in-law, Sam and Lawrence. Visitation will be held 2-9 p.m. today in Mulgrave and Area Resting Place. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday in Port Hawkesbury United Baptist Church, Pastor Chris Greer officiating. Burial will be in Southbrook Cemetery. Flowers appreciated. Donations in memory of Wilfred may be made to Mulgrave and Area Resting Place. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at: www.haverstocks.com
