HENDSBEE, Ainsley Donald - 65, Canso, died Sunday, May 20, 2007, in Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso. Born in Half Island Cove, Guysborough Co., he was a son of the late Stanley and Elizabeth (England) Hendsbee. He was a long-time fisherman and worked at the Canso Fish Plant until his retirement. He is survived by his companion, Catherine ; stepdaughters, Hattie (Russell) Borden, Hazel Hill; Lila (Walter Fitzpatrick) Horne, Canso; stepsons Frederick, James, both of Canso; grandchildren, Edward, Heidi, Kyle, Shelby, Shaquille, Janaya, Alyssa and Stacey, whom he loved and cherished so much; sisters, Marcella (Jake) Fincaryk, Vancouver, B.C.; Mavis (Skipper) MacLaughlin, Maine; brothers, Jimmy, Half Island Cove; Guy, Halifax. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He will also be sadly missed by special friends, Crystal Richards and Kathleen Horne. He was predeceased by sisters, Melvina, Theresa and Rita. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral Service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday in Canso United Baptist Church with Rev. David Wheeler officiating. Burial in Bayveiw Cemetery, Half Island Cove. Family flowers only please. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at: www.haverstocks.com
