Hendsbee, Eva Rita (Bond) -89, Queensport, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2009 in Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough. Born in Halfway Cove, Guys. Co., Eva was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Minnie (Dort) Bond. She was a member of St. James Anglican Church, Halfway Cove. Eva worked for many years at the fish plants in Mulgrave and Canso, she also worked a few years at the nursing home in Hazel Hill. She loved to go for drives, visits and make lots of lovely quilts, when she was in good health. Eva is survived by sons, Ben (Greta) and Allan (Michelle) both of Queensport, grandchildren, Darrell, Joseph, Barry, Steven, Jackie, Angel, great-grandchildren, Rhianna, Ethan, and Morgan. She was predeceased by her husband Cecil; brothers, Charles, George, Seaward and Wiley; sisters, Gertrude, Nettie, Margaret, Hilda and Theresa. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral service 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. James Anglican Church, Halfway Cove, Rev. Darroch Fagan officiating. Burial in St. James Anglican Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations in Eva’s memory may be made to St. James Anglican Church, Halfway Cove.
