HABEL, Sgt. Michel Joseph Cyrille "Mike" RCAF DND Retired, - 48, of Roseburn, Inverness Co., passed away peacefully on Friday June 8, 2012, in Victoria County Memorial Hospital, Baddeck.
Born in Quebec, on August 23, 1963, he was the son of Claudette Lajeunesse, Roseburn; and the late Cyrille Habel, of St. Feriol, Quebec. Left to mourn is his loving wife, Helene Rollock; son, Jeffrey, Ont; daughter, Carolyn, at home. Mike was a loving, dedicated husband and father and a member of the RCAF for 25 years.
After he retired from the RCAF he took up another one of his passions of running a very successful TAE KWON DO School in Barrie Ont. Mike is also survived by his sister, Edith; father-in-law, Sam Rollock, Ont; sister-in-law, Lucie; four nephews. His loving four legged friends Ali and Bailey gave him much comfort during his illness.

In lieu of flowers. Donations in Mike’s memory may be made to the Whycocomagh Daycare Cenre or to Victoria County Memorial Hospital. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Whycocomagh. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.haverstocks.com
We shall never forget Mike
Or the last time we saw him
As he prepared himself for
His next mission, he just winked
And said good-bye and then
**Slipped the surely bonds of Earth and
Reached out to touch the face of God**
Quote from WWII RCAF Pilot, John G. Magee
Airforce Motto:
Per Ardua ad Astra
Through adversity to the stars
