CAPOBIANCO (MacINTOSH), Eileen Patricia - 83, formerly of Natick, Massachusetts, passed away June 24, 2012 at her home in Westborough. Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia she was the daughter of Inspector John (RCMP) and Bertha (Dixon) MacIntosh. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Anthony Capobianco of Westborough, their four sons and their spouses: David and Kim Capobianco of Holliston, MA, Jack and Jennifer Michel Capobianco of Mendon, MA, Paul Capobianco and Karen Lindsay of Dedham, MA, James and Rachel Capobianco of Colchester, VT. Grandsons: Andrew, Grady, Connor, Hunter, Tucker and Max. She is also survived by her siblings Charlie, Summerside; Frank (Dorothy) MacIntosh, Yarmouth: Vivian Winsor, Truro; and Ann (Jim) MacIntosh, River Denys, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins throughout Canada and the USA.
Eileen was predeceased by her parents, brother, Edward and sisters; Jenny, and Doris. She grew up in Yarmouth . After high school, she graduated from Boston City Hospital School of Nursing. She married Anthony (Tony) in 1955 and lived in Natick raising their four sons there from 1959 to 1995. She served the Leonard Morse Hospital Aid Association for decades as well as many other local, civic organizations, including food pantries throughout the greater Boston communities. She also spent time in Falmouth, MA and Naples , FL where she spread her dedication to friendships and food pantries. Also important to Eileen was her annual trip back to Nova Scotia to spend time with her family and friends. These annual gatherings were a time of remembering, laughter, card playing, visiting aunts, uncles and cousins all around Cape Breton and celebrating special occasions in the family. Even though her friendships reached around the globe, and giving of her time and talents to anyone in need, she was devoted to her family. She was our anchor, our wings and our guide throughout life. Her largely attended wake and funeral were a testimony to her caring for others. A Mass of Christian burial was held on June 27th from St. Rose of Lima Church in Northborough. Following Eileen’s wishes some of her ashes will be interned in the family lot with her parents and siblings. A Committal service will be held on Saturday, July 14th at 2pm at Gillis Cove Cemetery in Orangedale. Reception to follow at the Orangedale United Church Hall. Donations in Eileen’s memory may be made to the Port Hawkesbury Food Bank or the charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to Dennis Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Whycocomagh.
