HURLBURT, Ansel Arlington- Age 84, Port Hawkesbury, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2016, in the Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home. Born in Carleton, Yarmouth Co., he was a son of the late Gordon and Fanny (Nickerson) Hurlburt. Surviving are his loving wife of 39 years, Joan (Pollard); daughters, Nancy (Doug), Crystal (John), Debbie (Fraser), Donna (Chris), Gail (Dale); sons, Carleton, Kevin (Debbie); step-children, Paul, Wade, Jamie, Robbie, Shelly; sisters, Edythe Hamilton, Lillian (Cecil) Clements; brother, Truman Hurlburt; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his 1st wife, Ruby (Proctor) Fox; daughter, Jacqueline; granddaughter, Makayla; grandson, Murdock; stepson, Bernard MacDougall; brothers, Gordon, Arthur, Roland, Cecil, Rodney, Horace, Herman; sisters, Inez Allen, Alice Hatfield, Janet Robichaud and Seretha Sabine. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday from St. Mark’s United Church, Port Hawkesbury with Nan Corrigan D.M. officiating. Burial in Southbrook Cemetery.
