Roberts, Anita Loretta - Port Hawkesbury. It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 of our mother, wife Anita Roberts age 68 years, who passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side after a long battle with lung cancer. Born in Port Hawkesbury, Anita was a daughter of Marie (McNamara) and the late Gardiner Ryan. Survived by her mother, Marie Ryan; her loving husband of 46 years, Robert "Bob"; daughters, Tanya (Randy), Toby (Brad); sisters, Mary Davis, Shelburne, Edna (Garnie), Shelburne; Bernadette (Sean), St. John’s, NL; Ann (Robert), Kingston; Marilyn, Edmonton, AB; brothers, Junior (Wanda), Pleasant Hill; Peter (Mary), Port Hawkesbury; Johnny, Port Hawkesbury and Stan, Sydney; brother-in-law, Ray (Leah) Roberts, Ontario; grandchildren, Jacob, Cole, Taylor, Reid and Chelsea. Besides her father, Anita was predeceased by her sister, Pricilla Ryan. Anita worked at Canadian Tire, Port Hawkesbury for 37 years. She loved her job and all her wonderful co-workers. She enjoyed going to bingo with her friend, Linda. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Thank You to everyone who came and visited Anita in the past month. A special Thank You to Nancy Cameron, Dr. Cooper and all nurses from continuing care and homecare for all your help to keep Anita where she wanted to be. In keeping with Anita’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place.
