Dear "Sam's" Family. I was so sad to learn that Sam crossed over the rainbow bridge. Many years ago when my sister Billie and I were kids we spent a lot of time at the Embree house. Later on as teenagers when we wanted to go to the dances in Creignish we were allowed to, but only if we got a drive with Sam. We could always count on him to get us there and back home safely. He was as you said, "... a large, kind and gentle soul." We need more like Sam. Love & Peace, Joanne

My deepest condolences to Sam's wife and children. I not only experienced Sam as a customer at McDonald's but I knew him from being in the junior Fire department many years ago. He always made me laugh, and could tell if it was that kinda day and I needed it. His kind heart to us was as big a man as he was. May he Rest in Peace.
