Frederick Hartling Beaton Obituary

BEATON, Frederick Hartling - 80, Orangedale, died Saturday, April 2, 2005, in Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Skye Glen, he was a son of the late John and Annie (Hartling) Beaton. Frederick was a retired labourer and a member of Stewart United Church, Whycocomagh, and Bayview Seniors' Club, Whycocomagh. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He leaves to mourn his aunt, Georganna Waters, Blues Mills; sister-in-law, Mora Johnson, and brother-in-law, Duncan Johnson, both of Ontario; numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by his stepmother, Susan (MacDonald) Beaton; sister, Annie Johnson and Edna MacLean; brothers, Stuart in infancy, Laughlin, and Allistar.


Visitation will be held today 2-9 p.m. in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Whycocomagh. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday in Stewart United Church with Donna Tourneur officiating.
