BOUDREAU, Kathleen Lucille - 80, Little Dover, Guysborough Co., passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, Wednesday, August 2, 2006, in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax.
Born in Aldershot, England, she was a daughter of the late George and Dorothy Clarke. During the Second World War, she married her husband, Raymond and following the war, immigrated to Nova Scotia as a war bride. She settled in Little Dover. She was well-known in the community, which she called home, and cared deeply for the people.
She was a loving wife, wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Raymond; daughters, Carol Anne (Aubrey) Benoit, Halifax; Helen (John) Murphy, New Minas; Joyce Boudreau, Newmarket, Ont.; Mary (Mark) Lumsden, Oakridge, Tenn.; sons, Ron (Eileen), Thunder Bay, Ont.; Terry (Carol), Cole Harbour; Jerry, Eastern Passage; Perry (Kelly), Halifax; sister, Joyce Shoebridge, England; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sons, Raymond and Malcolm; three brothers.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. Visitation will be held from 4-9 p.m. Sunday, August 6, in St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Little Dover, where a funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 7, Father Daniel Boudreau officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church Cemetery Fund. Inquiries may be directed to Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso, or White Family Funeral Home, Kentville.
