Boudreau, Ronald Francis “Ronnie” – 70, Little Dover, Guysborough County, It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ronald Francis Boudreau announce his passing on Sunday, June 13, 2010 in Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso. Born March 4, 1940 in Little Dover, Guys. Co., he was the son of the late Douglas and Nora (Casey) Boudreau.
Ronnie was a long time fisherman and a member of the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary. He took great pride and was a perfectionist while woodworking. He loved to grow strawberries and play cards with his best friend and brother-in-law, Lewis “Bud” Rhynold. He was an avid crossword puzzle enthusiast who faithfully completed the Chronicle Herald puzzle each day. Ronnie loved Christmas and displayed hundreds of lights for family and friends to enjoy each year. He will be sadly missed by his children, Colleen, Charlene (Morris), Maureen (Mike) all of Little Dover; Winston (Catherine), Petawawa, Ont.; Dougie (Melissa), Hazel Hill and Ronalda Baillie, Charlottetown, P.E.I.; his grandchildren who held a special place in his heart, Allison and Alana Baillie, Mackenzie and Rheanna Casey and Taylor Boudreau; sisters, Shirley MacDougall, Antigonish; Ruth (Reg) Feltmate, Lower Sackville and brother, Gary (Pat), Halifax. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his loving wife, Winnie (Rhynold), and brother, Lloyd.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Monday, and 2-9 p.m. Tuesday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Little Dover with Fr. Andrew Gillies officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Ronnie may be made to Eastern Memorial Hospital Palliative Care, Canso; St. Agnes Building Fund or a charity of choice.
