Borden, Florence Mae "Flossie" – 92, Sunnyville. God has called one of his Angels home. Flossie died peacefully surround by her love ones at home on Thursday, March 31, 2011. Born in Guysborough, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Sarah (Tynes) Byard. Flossie worked doing house cleaning for years and Canso Seafreez. She was a lifelong member of Sunnyville United Baptist Church.
She survived by her sons, Albert, Sunnyville; Lawrence (Mariane), Boylston; Stanley (Kandy), Antigonish; Donnie (Jan), Toronto; James (Rose), Sunnyville; Daughters, Joan and Thelma both of Halifax; Debbie, Sunnyville; Gail (Bernie) Guysborough; Two special grandsons, Albert "Allie", Dartmouth; Bernie (Danielle), Antigonish; niece, Elizabeth (Bobby), Sunnyville; 25 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; brothers, Owen and Howard (Josephine) both of Sunnyville; sister, Emma, New Glasgow; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Charlie; brothers, Archie, Ronnie, Samuel, Joe, John and Jerry; sisters, Mary, Cora and Lousie.
Visitation will be 2- 9 p.m. Sunday in Sunnyville United Baptist Church from where funeral will be held 2 p.m. Monday, April 4, Pastor Warren Fitzgerald officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Sunnyville United Baptist Church. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough.
