BURT, Sarah Melinda (Martin) – 95, Mulgrave. The family of Sarah Melinda Burt regret to announce her death on Tuesday April 19, 2011 in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born in St. John’s Bay, N.L., she was a daughter of the late William and Melinda Martin. Sarah worked at Acadia Fisheries and the Wandlyn Hotel for many years. She was an active member of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Mulgrave and O.E.S. (Eastern Star) for many years. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and will be missed by her family. Sarah is survived by her daughter, Hilda; son, Cyril (Nita), both of Mulgrave; grandchildren, Michael, Michelle, Mark, Dawn; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Dylan, Emma, Randy, Joshua, Emily, Allie; great-great-granddaughter Payton, whom she dearly loved; many nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband, James Burt; sister, Ann; brothers, Michael, Morgan, George, Jack, Alphonse. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9p.m. Thursday and Friday in Mulgrave and Area Resting Place, Mulgrave. Funeral service will be 11:00a.m. Saturday in St. Andrew’s Anglican Church with Rev. Evelyn Knorr officiating. Burial in St. Andrew’s Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Mulgrave and Area Resting Place or a charity of one’s choice.
