BROPHY, Mary Virgina – 95, Mulgrave, passed away, Friday, November 25, 2011, in Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough. Born in Mulgrave, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Annie (Fougere) Jellow. She was a member of St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, Mulgrave. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are daughters, Ursula Doyle; Carol (Allison) England, both of Mulgrave; daughter-in-law, Avon Brophy, Arisag; grandchildren, Steven, Jamie, Kurt and Rachel, great-grandchildren, Evan, Riley, Keats and Brooke, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph; sons, Joe and Mark; brothers, Arthur, Vincent, Edward and Daniel; sisters, Irene, Priscilla, Ella, Eliza and Laura. The family at this time would like to give many thanks to the staff of Milford Haven Home for Special Care, for the care they had shown towards Mary. There will be no visitation. Funeral Mass will be 11a.m. Wednesday, November 30, from St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, Mulgrave, with Father Allan MacPhie officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations may be made to St. Lawrence Parish Cemetery Fund, or to Milford Haven Home for Special Care.
