BAILLIE, Janet Aiken – 70, Troy, Inverness Co. It is with great sadness we announce the death of Janet Aiken Baillie, on Wednesday, December 7, 2011, in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born in River John, Pictou Co. she was a daughter of the late George Robert and Pearl Ella (Tattrie) MacLean. Janet was the owner/operator of the Sears Canada Outlet in Port Hawkesbury.
She was a member of St. David’s United Church, Port Hastings. Surviving are her loving husband of 51yrs, Jack, daughters, Sheila (Dannie) MacInnis, Glendale; Heather (Darren) Graham, Troy; Gayle (Chris) Baillie-Purcell, Halifax; loving grandmother of, Jamie (April), Kevin (Charlene), Neil and Sophia, great-grandmother of, Jack, Daniel and Cali., sisters, Lillian Matheson, Delta BC; Marjorie (Donald) Harris, Kentville; Mary, Sheet Harbour; Fern (Ron) Zinck, Pictou; brother, Donald (Margaret), Louisville.The family at this time would like to thank all those who provided care and support during Mom’s illness.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today (Friday) in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral Service will be 11a.m. Saturday from St. David’s United Church, Port Hastings, with Nan Corrigan officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain Road Cemetery, River John, Pictou Co. at 2:30 p.m.
Memorial donations in Janet’s memory may be made to the Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society, or to St. David’s United Church. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.haverstocks.com
