BOUDREAU, Gerald George – 68, Greenwold Manor, Old South River Road, formerly of Frankville, Antigonish Co. passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2012, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Mattie Settlement, Antigonish Co., he was a son of the late Benjamin and Mary Martha (MacDonald) Boudreau. Gerald was an Iron Worker, who worked at many different construction sites across Canada. He was a member of the International Association of Iron Workers, Local 752. Gerald was an avid card player and loved watching NASCAR. He loved spending time with his family. Gerald was given the nickname the "Havre Boucher Kid". He was a member of St. Paul’s Parish, Havre Boucher. Surviving are his sisters, Sharon Beaton, Lower South River; Gloria Forrestall, Antigonish; Carmel (Robert) Forrestall, Auld’s Cove; Twila (Joe) Venedam, Pomquet; brothers, Donnie (Kay), Halifax; Blaise (Theresa), Antigonish; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Joyce Boudreau-Hearn; brothers-in-law, Allister Beaton and Pat Hearn; nephews, Kyle, Todd and Jonathan. Visitation will be Thursday, August 16, from 2-4 and 7-9pm in St. Paul’s Centre, Havre Boucher. Funeral Mass will be 11am Friday from St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, Havre Boucher, with Father Donald Boudreau officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Martha’s Regional Hospital Palliative Care, or to a charity of one’s choice.
