BOUDREAU, Jean Dorothy – 73, Canso, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2012, in the Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough. Born in Canso, she was a daughter of the late Homer Judson Nickerson Sr. and Edith (McGrath) Nickerson. Jean was a member of the Canadian Cancer Society, as well as the Canso Shamrock Club. Jean volunteered for many fund raising organizations over the years in the Canso area. She was a member of Canso United Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughter, Valerie Nickerson (John Baker), Canso; sons, Shawn (Jodie) Boudreau, Edmonton; Harry "Junior" Boudreau, Canso; Kirk (Jeanetta) Boudreau, Antigonish; sisters, Pat Pope, Lawrencetown; Marilyn (Frank) Haines, Little Dover; Darlene Munroe, Halifax; brother, Doug (Bev) Nickerson, Little Dover; grandchildren, Julia, Kirk, Jared and Kamryn; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry James Boudreau Sr.; brother, Homer Leroy Nickerson Jr. Visitation will be Friday, December 7, from 2-9 p.m. in the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday from Canso United Baptist Church, with Rev. David Wheeler officiating. Burial in Star of the Sea parish cemetery at a later date.
