Bouchie, Sharon Margaret - 59, Auld’s Cove, Antigonish County. Sharon passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and her cat, Boo, on Saturday, January 26, 2013. Born in Parrsboro, she was a daughter of the late Josephine Smith. She was employed with the Canadian Coast Guard Emergency Response Unit in Mulgrave and finished her career at the Canso Canal, Port Hastings as a clerk. She retired in August 2012 after 34 years of service. Sharon was very meticulous at everything she did, as it showed in her decorating and her tole painting. She enjoyed playing Scat with the girls. Most of all looking forward to spending time at "The Old House" in Parrsboro. She is survived by her daughter, Tova Bouchie-Ryan, Mulgrave; sisters, Linda Lunn, Truro; Nancy (Charlie) Winters, Parrsboro; brothers, Fred (Sally) Smith, Kentville; Jerry (Genevieve ) Smith, Truro; her grandchildren, Jayden and Brieley Ryan who brought so much joy into her life. She is predeceased by her husband, Bernie Wood; brothers, Charlie Smith, Allan Smith, brother-in-law, Willis Lunn. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Mulgrave and Area Resting Place, Mulgrave. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. from St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, Mulgrave with Father Allan MacPhie officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in memory of Sharon may be made to Cathy’s Place, c/o St Martha’s Regional Hospital or St. Martha’s Palliative Care, Antigonish.
