BERAKOS, Norman Frank Sr. – 82, Port Hawkesbury, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2014, in the Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home. Born in Winnipeg, he was a son of the late Peter and Pauline (Eichorn) Berakos. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Surviving are his wife, Geraldine (MacKinnon), Port Hawkesbury; sons, Norm Jr. (Janice) and Steven (Cheryl), all of Halifax; grandchildren, Anthony, Alex, John and Katherine; great-grandson, Dominic. He was predeceased by his first wife, Maureen.
Cremation has taken place. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NS. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.haverstocks.com
