BOUDREAU, Irene -66, Port Hawkesbury, passed away peacefully with all her family by her side on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, in the Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born in Corner Brook, NL, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Sylvia (Gilliam) Morrison. Irene was a resident of Port Hawkesbury for the past 40 years. She always enjoyed helping her community and volunteered for several years at the minor hockey canteen. Irene was quite the entrepreneur using her many gifts to enrich the lives of loved ones, at one time owning her own flower shop. Irene always loved bake sales and she loved baking for her family for Christmas and on special occasions, flower arranging, knitting, playing cards and dancing with her sweetheart, Alvin. Irene was a retired custodian from Stora Enso. She was always there to listen and give loving support. Above all she was a devoted mother, wife, sister and nanny. She was loved unconditionally and touched the lives of everyone she knew. She is survived by her husband, Alvin; children, Jeff, Cindy and Jennifer, all of Port Hawkesbury; siblings, Marie, Dartmouth; Phyllis, Debert; Jerry, Larry, both of BC; twin sisters, Judy and Joan, both of Ontario; Donna, Fall River; grandchildren, Christina, Andrew, Nicholas, Michael and Maiya. She was predeceased by her infant son, Bradley; brothers, Frank and Sandy; sister, Neta. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. Funeral mass will be 2 p.m. Monday from St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Port Hawkesbury with Father Conrad Edwards officiating. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society. Arrangements are under the care of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
